Off-spinner Ravichandran Ashwin starred as India trounced Sri Lanka by nine wickets to win the third T20 international and clinch the series 2-1 in Visakhapatnam on Sunday.
India bowled Sri Lanka out for their lowest total, 82, to retain their No. 1 ranking, which was on the line in the series decider. 4 for 8 of Ashwin was the best figures for an Indian in T20Is, beating his own 4 for 11.
India won the toss and sent Sri Lanka in to bat in the third and final Twenty20 international at Visakhapatnam on Sunday.
The Dinesh Chandimal-led Sri Lanka made three changes with Dilhara Fernando, Niroshan Dickwella and debutant Asela Gunaratne getting a game.
