MP Patali Champika Ranawaka yesterday described Maithripala Sirisena as the country’s first ever “cross-over President.”
Speaking to the media, Ranawaka said that Sirisena won that title by betraying the people’s mandate of 8 January 2015 and by unconstitutionally appointing Mahinda Rajapaksa as Prime Minister and buying MPs for cash to fortify his meek position.
