Former MP Namal Rajapaksa in the wake of dissolution of Parliament has decided to join the Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna to contest the elections in January.
A member of the Sri Lanka Freedom Party, Rajapaksa tweeted saying that he will join the SLPP.
“I am joining the @PodujanaParty effective immediately. We will strive to create a broader coalition with many stakeholders under the leadership of @MaithripalaS & @PresRajapaksa to face the upcoming General Election and come out victorious,” he tweeted.
